Booking & Cancellation Policy

This page explains how booking, payment, cancellation, weather, and refunds work when you book a private yacht with Marinova in Dubai. Your final price and terms are always confirmed with you in writing before any deposit.

Booking Confirmation

How your booking is confirmed

We keep every booking clear from the first message. Once you choose a yacht and time, we confirm the final price and total amount in writing before any payment is made. A 50% deposit then secures the yacht and your time slot for the agreed date. After the deposit, we send a receipt voucher and a booking confirmation on WhatsApp so everything is documented before your trip.

Your booking confirmation message will show the yacht, date, time, duration, total price, deposit amount, balance due, and any agreed extras.

Payment

Payment and balance

The remaining balance is best settled before the trip. If agreed in advance, it may also be settled on board before the yacht leaves the marina. The yacht departs once full payment is completed. Payment can be made by payment link, bank transfer, or cash. We will guide you through the simplest option when you book.

Cancellation

Cancellation and rescheduling

If your plans change, here is how cancellation and rescheduling work, based on the time before your charter. The terms that apply to your booking are confirmed with you in writing before your deposit.

Time before charter What applies
More than 72 hours before Free cancellation or reschedule
Between 72 and 24 hours before 50% charge applies
Within 24 hours 100% charge applies

Where possible, we will always try to help you reschedule to another date rather than cancel.

Weather

Weather and Coast Guard permits

Sailing in Dubai depends on a same-day sailing permit, and the Coast Guard’s decision is the final authority on whether a yacht can sail in the day’s weather and sea conditions. These decisions are normally received around 9 AM on the day of the trip.

If the Coast Guard does not issue a sailing permit because of weather or sea conditions, your charter can be rescheduled to another date or fully refunded. We will guide you through the options as soon as the decision is known.

Technical Issues

Technical issues

In the rare case of a technical issue with a yacht, we handle it step by step.

1
First, we try to resolve the issue so your trip can go ahead.
2
If it cannot be resolved in time, we look for a suitable alternative yacht, including a free upgrade where one is available.
3
If no suitable alternative is available, we arrange a reschedule or refund depending on the situation and what works for you.
4
In some cases, we may offer something extra, such as additional time on the water, depending on the circumstances.

In a genuine no-sail or unresolved technical case, we will offer a fair resolution, including rescheduling or a refund where applicable.

Refunds

Refund timing

When a refund applies, it is usually processed within 5–7 days. The exact timing can depend on the specific case and the payment method used. We will keep you updated until the refund is completed.

FAQ

Common questions

When is my booking confirmed?
Your booking is confirmed once the final price is agreed and a 50% deposit is made to secure the yacht and time slot. We then send a receipt voucher and a booking confirmation on WhatsApp. Your confirmation will show the yacht, date, time, duration, total price, deposit amount, balance due, and any agreed extras.
How much deposit do I need to pay?
A 50% deposit secures the yacht and your time slot. The remaining balance is best settled before the trip. If agreed in advance, it may also be settled on board before the yacht leaves the marina. Payment can be by payment link, bank transfer, or cash.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation or rescheduling is free more than 72 hours before your charter time. Between 72 and 24 hours before, a 50% charge applies. Within 24 hours of your charter time, a 100% charge applies. Where possible, we will help you reschedule rather than cancel.
What happens if the weather is bad or no sailing permit is issued?
The Coast Guard decides each day whether yachts can sail based on weather and sea conditions, and that decision is final. Same-day decisions are normally received around 9 AM. If no sailing permit is issued, your charter can be rescheduled or fully refunded.
What if there is a technical problem with the yacht?
We first try to resolve the issue. If we cannot, we look for a suitable alternative yacht, including a free upgrade where available. If there is no suitable alternative, we arrange a reschedule or refund depending on the case, and may offer extra time in some situations. In a genuine unresolved technical case, we will offer a fair resolution, including a refund where applicable.
How long do refunds take?
Refunds are usually processed within 5–7 days. The exact timing can depend on the case and the payment method used. We will keep you updated until it is completed.
